    As Best Value Vacs (BVV) experienced growth, they realized they could scale their business further by implementing several initiatives. Based on the purchasing patterns of their customers, a new product model was developed. The new product model involved customizable products to help customers find related products instantaneously. Wholesale customers were not getting the discounts BVV team thought they deserved; a Wholesale Customer Discount program was created. Equally important was having the flexibility to integrate modules and other software applications in the future that will further promote growth. Unfortunately, the site was hosted on Yahoo Store and limited execution of these requirements.

    ioVista assessed the needs of BVV and without hesitation recommended Magento platform. Magento is an open-source ecommerce platform which allows further modification of any modules and extensions that are integrated. With its powerful built-in functionality and capability to integrate modules and software applications, ioVista was able to meet BVV’s requirements precisely. To see through many of the goals set forth, we tabulated some of the major features employed by ioVista.

    • Wholesale Module: Created a module that incorporated sales person information and provided discounts to a special group of customers.
    • Configurable Products: Customized configurable products for ease of purchase for the customers.
    • M2EPro: Applied extension which allowed eBay and Amazon to integrate with Mageto in order to control inventory from a single SKU.
    • Shipping Customization: Added and customized an extension that allowed multiple boxes per shipment, applied charges per box, allowed surcharge where applicable and considered freight requirements by the shipping vendors.
    • One Step Checkout: to diminish the number of clicks a customer has to execute during the checkout process, the one-step-checkout extension was implemented.
    • Payment Methods: Incorporated several payment methods such as Authorize.net, PayPal, eCheck and ChasePay.

Result

The client has doubled their revenue since the rollout of the site. And their sales projections highly surpass prior years. They attribute their growth to the ease in which customers find products and their Wholesale Customer Rewards program. Internal staff has been trained to assist their customers. All the information in Admin Panel can be easily accessed. Wholesales representatives have increased their customer base since they have a set process that rewards their customers consistently. Best Value Vacs has been able to capitalize on other revenue channels such as Amazon and eBay while maintaining an accurate inventory count.
